COTTON CAVALRY TWILL for S/S 2027

現在、７月に開催する春夏展示会に向けて、サンプル投入の最終段階です。

CORONAでは2005年の初期から取り組み続けている定番素材で、海外からの輸入生地を使用した時期もあれば、自社オリジナルとして織り上げたこともある、ブランドを代表するテキスタイルのひとつです。

キャバリーツイルは、もともと騎兵隊の乗馬用パンツや軍服向けに開発された、非常に丈夫な綾織生地です。クラシックなミリタリーウエアやワークウエアにも深く根差していて、英国テーラリングの世界では高級素材として知られています。

高密度で非常に強度が強く、綾立ちがはっきりとしていて無骨で立体的。

今回は綿のキャバリーツイルで、ドレスウエア向きというよりも“ワーク＆ミリタリー”ウエアよりです。

ウールキャバリーと違って、ガンガン洗って、着込めるカジュアル感がいいです。

As we head into the final stage of sample development for our July 2027 Spring & Summer Collection exhibition, we're excited to give you a preview of one of the fabrics that will be featured next season.

The fabric shown here is our cotton cavalry twill.

Since CORONA's early days in 2005, cavalry twill has been one of our signature fabrics. Over the years, we've worked with both imported versions and our own original developments, making it a staple material deeply rooted in the brand's history.

Cavalry twill was originally developed for cavalry riding breeches and military uniforms. Known for its dense construction and exceptional durability, it has long been used in military garments, workwear, and even classic tailoring.

The version we're using this season is made from 100% cotton.

Its pronounced twill lines create a bold, three-dimensional texture with a rugged character that perfectly suits workwear and military-inspired clothing. Unlike wool cavalry twill, which is often associated with dressier garments, this cotton version is made to be worn hard, washed often, and broken in over time.

It's the kind of fabric that only gets better with age, developing more character and individuality the longer you wear it.

For Spring & Summer 2027, we'll be introducing several spring-weight pieces made from this classic cotton cavalry twill.
