2026年秋冬コレクションで提案する、レオパード柄のM-65フィールドジャケット。
CORONAミリタリーコレクションは、1960年代から70年代、ベトナム戦争期のミリタリーウエアを中心に、その時代ならではのリアリティを掘り下げてきました。
1960年代は、ERDLやタイガーストライプといった迷彩柄が、ようやく実戦で本格的に使われ始めた時代です。一方で、まだ「迷彩」という概念が現在ほど体系化されていなかった当時、ハンティングジャケットのダックハンター柄や、カジュアルウエアに見られる動物柄までもが、環境に溶け込むための“カモフラージュ”として用いられることがありました。
実際に、タイガーストライプのパンツをヒョウ柄の生地で補修したヴィンテージピースを目にしたこともあります。機能を最優先した結果として生まれた、その即興性と必然性は、当時の現場の空気を色濃く物語っています。
For our Fall/Winter 2026 collection, we present a leopard-pattern M-65 field jacket.
The CORONA military collection has consistently focused on military garments from the 1960s to the 1970s, particularly those from the Vietnam War era, exploring the unique realism and context of that time.
The 1960s marked a transitional period when camouflage patterns such as ERDL and tiger stripe were just beginning to see full-scale use in actual combat. At the same time, the concept of “camouflage” had not yet been clearly systematized as it is today. As a result, patterns originally intended for other purposes—such as duck hunter camouflage used in hunting jackets, or animal prints found in casual wear—were sometimes employed simply because they helped blend into the environment.
We have even come across a vintage piece where a pair of tiger stripe pants had been repaired using leopard-pattern fabric. That kind of improvised repair, driven purely by function and necessity, vividly reflects the reality and atmosphere of the field at the time.
今回採用したレオパードパターンは、そうした1960年代という過渡期のミリタリーカルチャーに着想を得たものです。
単なる装飾やファッションとしてのアニマル柄ではなく、時代背景と実用性が交差した結果として存在していた「もうひとつの迷彩」。その文脈を、M-65という象徴的なフィールドジャケットに重ねています。
とにかく難しいお話は抜きにしても、凄い迫力でめちゃかっこいいです！！
The leopard pattern used in this piece is inspired by that transitional moment in 1960s military culture.
Rather than being an animal print used purely for decoration or fashion, it represents “another form of camouflage”—one that emerged at the intersection of historical context and practical necessity. That idea is layered onto the iconic M-65 field jacket.
And honestly, setting all the historical explanation aside, it simply has incredible presence and looks unbelievably cool.
