このアイテムは、US ARMY が1950年代に実験的に試作したエクスペリメンタル・トラウザーズをフィーチャリングしたものです。
米軍QMC（クォーターマスターコープ/補給部隊）は、1950年代に入り東南アジアや中東を視野に入れたユニフォームの開発を始めます。
このパンツは、ワークパンツとバトルドレスパンツを掛け合わせたようなデザイン・仕様が特徴で、後のベトナム戦争などに投入されるジャングルファティーグなどのB.D.Uパンツにも影響を与えました。
若干テーパードが入る極太なシルエットで、テストサンプルならではのディテールデザインが他のミリタリートラウザーズでは見ることができないスペシャルなものとなっています。
また、前後のポケットやサイドカーゴポケットが上詰めとなっているため、穿くととてもバランスが良く、日常に取り入れやすいデザインとなっています。
《 1953 MILITARY NYCO BLOCKS 》
50年代にUS ARMYがM-51パーカなどの野戦用ユニフォームで使用していた薄手のナイロン＋コットンの生地を完全レプリカした生地です。
生地の風合いや色の雰囲気を重視するため、一般的な染料の下処理として行われるシルケット加工を省略。そうすることで生地の表面がフラットに保たれ、色落ちなど雰囲気のある生地に仕上げています。
また、現在ではあまり使われなくなった50年代当時のブライトナイロン糸を使用。
このナイロン糸を織り込むことで強度が高まり、鈍い光沢感が生まれます。
薄手ですが、しっかりとしたハリ感や強度があり、洗っていく毎にディテールに立体感が生まれてシームのパッカリングにあたりが出る、とても雰囲気のある生地です。
