イギリス海軍-Royal Navyのユニフォームから始まった色名と言われ、清潔感がありフォーマルで知的な印象をもつ色です。

万能カラーと言われ、上品で黒よりも落ち着きがありビジネスシーンでも好印象を与えますよね。

日本は昔から“藍色”が伝統色で、藍染めの着物、作務衣など日本文化に深く根差しています。
日本では比較的シンプルで清潔感のある服装を好む傾向があるため、ネイビー色はそのニーズに合致しています。

また、黒よりもコントラストが強すぎず、柔らかい印象で顔色が沈まないという利点があるそうです。

Navy Makes a Full Comeback for Spring/Summer 2026

“Navy” — a color that originally took its name from the uniforms of the Royal Navy in the UK — is known for its clean, formal, and intelligent impression.
It's a true all-rounder: more refined than black, less harsh, and always appropriate, even in business settings.

In Japan, deep indigo (known as ai-iro) has long been part of traditional culture — from indigo-dyed kimonos to “samue ”workwear — making navy a naturally fitting color.
Its soft contrast complements Japanese skin tones well, giving a brighter, more approachable look without washing out the complexion.
