The 1941 U.S ARMY TYPE-C SWEATER

F/W 2026から再スタートするKeyHoleのもう一つの“DNA”、米軍ニットウエア。
写真は、Quartermaster Corps（陸軍）が1933年に制定した「Sweater, Wool, Type C」。
後のUS Navy Deck Sweaterにつながるクラシックなミリタリーニット。
如何にも軍物セーターって感じです。
これを買ったのはそうとう昔ですが、その時からこれが“カシミアみたいな柔らかいニット”でできていたら相当いいのに、って思っていました。
丈が長すぎて外に着て出たことはありません。

The other “DNA” of KeyHole, restarting for F/W 2026, is US military knitwear.
Pictured here is the “Sweater, Wool, Type C,” established by the Quartermaster Corps (Army) in 1933. A classic piece of military knitwear, it would later inspire the US Navy Deck Sweater. It totally has that classic military sweater vibe.
I bought this a very long time ago, and even back then, I couldn't help but think how amazing it would be if it were made from a knit as soft as cashmere.
It's way too long, so I've never worn it outside.
